Learn how make and keep friends from award-winning therapists with accessible, personalized and comprehensive social skills coaching from UCLA PEERS certified providers.

PEERS at Thrive is an evidence-based program for making and keeping friends.

  • A 14-week program is for neurodivergent kids in middle and high school who are interested in learning about making and keeping friends and how to handle conflict and rejection.

  • Adolescents and parents attend 90-minute sessions once weekly for 14 weeks.

  • Participants are taught social skills through lessons and role-play demonstrations, and practice these skills during group socialization activities.

  • Parents attend separate sessions simultaneously and are taught how to assist adolescents in making and keeping friends (parent participation is required). Choose in-person or virtual sessions.

 

Participants learn these skills:

  • Developing and maintaining friendships

  • Conversational skills

  • Entering and exiting conversations

  • Appropriate use of humor

  • Handling disagreements

  • Electronic communication

  • Being a good sport

  • Organizing get-togethers

  • Handling teasing and bullying

  • Changing a reputation

Services and Pricing

Social Communication Coaching Program: $3,850 for 14 weeks

  • 90 minute sessions weekly, live or virtual.

  • 90 minute sessions weekly social coaching for parent or caregiver

  • A 1:1 follow-up “check-in” following completion of the course

  • Course is provided in-person or virtual

    Award-winning clinical director with over 25 years of experience as an SLP. Known for her compassionate approach and dedicated service to the field, Maria has extensive expertise in evaluating and treating a wide range of speech and language disorders across diverse populations. She is devoted to creating positive experiences for families.
